Sunday club runs

Please note, the 2025 Sunday club runs will be added closer to the time.

When:

Ride departure time varies depending on the length of route but tends to leave at 8:30am. Keep an eye on the Events page for the precise details of upcoming rides.

As with the Saturday club runs, this is the time at which we will be rolling away, miss it and miss out! It generally pays to arrive slightly early and grab a quick coffee at the nearby Café Nero.

Where:

We meet about halfway down Andover High Street, in front of the Guildhall.

How far:

Every week is different, but ride distance ranges from 50 to 100 miles. The aim is for ride distance to increase over the time as rider fitness improves.

How fast:

Normally, Sunday club runs are a single group riding at about 16-18mph average moving speed.

Other details:

• There will be a café stop at approximately half distance, but please carry enough fuel to last the full distance in case we are unable to stop should the café be too full or closed.
• Full mudguards with an extended rear flap are a must, as is a puncture repair kit with at least one spare tube, tyre levers, a multi-tool and a pump or CO2 inflator.
• Where possible we will always try to ride two abreast but be prepared to ride single file on any narrow single track or busy main roads.
• Should we be lucky enough to get large numbers out, we will split the ride into multiple groups, leaving separately a few minutes apart.
• Rides may be delayed, altered or cancelled altogether due to inclement weather, but we will try to give as much notice as possible if this is the case.
